WHEN YOU ARRIVE

Our Box Office and Front of House Assistants will be happy to assist with any questions you may have.

Please ensure you allow enough time to use the toilets and grab a drink/snack before the start of the show.

We do not have a cloak room available to use.

We have three performance spaces; the Main House can be accessed via the foyer stairs and the accessible corridor past our Theatre Bar. The Studio Theatre/Studio’s are located on the first floor which can only be accessed from the foyer stairs and the Theatre Bar is located on the ground floor just off the foyer. There is signage in place to indicate where you need to go.

Our Front of House staff will let you know when you can make your way into the theatres.

DURING THE SHOW

We want our audiences to feel comfortable when watching our shows and we actively encourage our audience to laugh, respond, clap and cheer when appropriate!

To ensure everyone enjoys the performance and for the safety of our artists there are to be no photos, videos or phones. We are happy to allow drinks (hot drinks must have a lid) and snacks purchased from our bar during the show.

LATECOMERS

We understand that sometimes it can be hard to arrive on time, all latecomers will be seated in the theatre at an appropriate time in the performance or will be asked to wait until the interval. We will do our best to seat you in your pre-booked seats, however this may not always be possible.

TOILETS

Toilets can be found on the ground floor in the foyer of the venue. Our fully accessible toilet can be found next to the box office. There are baby changing facilities in the accessible toilet and sanitary bins are provided.

WIFI

We have free WiFi throughout the building. Just look for Blakehay Theatre and the password secretservice.

THEATRE BAR

Situated on the ground floor of our foyer and fully accessible to all patrons, our Theatre bar is open for pre-show (from 1 hour before the show) and interval refreshments. Serving a lovely selection of locally-sourced drinks, come and relax and meet friends before the performance and pre-order your interval drinks. Our theatre bar has access through to our outside Courtyard. The bar operates as a bottle bar with a selection of alcoholic and soft drinks available at competitive prices.

We do our best to try and serve locally produced beverages at the bar and our amazing freshly ground to order Fair trade Puro Coffee.

The theatre bar sells a small selection of sundries of sweets and crisps as well as the locally produced Chew Moos Ice creams that will be available from our staff in the auditorium during the interval or at the bar. All drinks can be taken into our auditorium during the performances, but cold and hot drinks are only permitted inside the auditorium in plastic glasses or with a lid.

We are doing everything we can to stop using single use plastic at the theatre!

We try to source all drinks in glass bottles with no plastic bottles drinks being sold in our bar, water is free for all from our #refill station in our foyer whenever we are open! Please remember to bring your own water bottle to refill. We do not supply plastic straws, and we only serve drinks in our reusable plastic cups that are collected and washed every show!

Don’t forget to “Bring in your own” reusable coffee cup and we will give you money off your hot drinks!

DOWNLOAD YOUR TICKETS

Tickets are sent to you via email as an E-Ticket. You will need to download your tickets to your phone before you arrive so that we are able to scan the QR code on entry. You can also print your tickets at home.

LOST TICKETS?

If you can not find your tickets, or are unable to download these. Please visit our Box Office on arrival at the theatre and they will be able to print these off for you, as long as we have the name that they were booked under. The box office is open one hour before performances.
